As the umbrella organization of Turkey's textile and raw materials exports, İTHİB serves the sector in many sub-headings, from promotional activities, design, training, to R&D studies, in order to achieve sustainable - value-added export targets.

PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

It organizes the I of the World – New York fair, which is the only sectoral export products fair of exporters' associations.

It ensures the promotion of Turkey's textile products in the world market by organizing national participation organizations in Première Vision Paris, the London Textile Fair and Munich Fabric Start fairs, which are held twice a year.

It represents its members in the world's leading textile fair organizations such as Texfusion New York, Premiere Vision New York, Techtextil Frankfurt, Heimtextile Fair; info opens stands and organizes workshops. It contributes to the market diversity of the sector by making commercial visits to distant markets such as Japan Creation Fair and Preview in Seoul Fair.

It cooperates with similar organizations abroad, professional chambers, chambers of commerce, commercial representatives of embassies, fair organizers and public relations agencies.

It organizes trade delegations to potential and existing markets to increase the effectiveness of Turkish exporters in the market. Trade delegations to target markets such as Chile, Brazil, Spain, England, Poland, Egypt and Morocco; Buying delegations from Cuba, Lithuania, Russia and Tunisia and the Evteks Home Textile Fair buying delegation held in Istanbul are some of the last delegations held.

DESIGN ACTIVITIES:

In addition to its promotional activities abroad, it increases the competitive and creative potential of the Turkish textile industry with its domestic activities.

By organizing Futuretex Istanbul since 2006 in order to support young talents and bring them into the industry; It encourages and rewards qualified young people who will take part in the textile industry.

It carries out studies to encourage and support the design capacity of the sector through periodic seminars and workshops.

EDUCATION:

In order to encourage textile engineering and to make the education in textile engineering more qualified, it carries out studies to bring qualified students to the sector and raise the perception of the sector with the My Choice Textile Engineering Scholarship Project, which is carried out in cooperation with the Textile and Apparel Exporters' Associations - Turkish Textile Industry Employers' Union.

İTHİB organizes periodic vocational training courses, fashion seminars and workshops on foreign trade and marketing to support and develop the current activities of its members.

It organizes seminars, conferences, training programs and other events that concern its members.

It provides its members with information and consultancy services on issues such as trade policies, market and industry trends, and commercial data.

İTHİB carries out Ur-Ge projects under the Ministry of Commerce; It organizes cluster-specific training and consultancy activities so that companies can improve their capacities.

R&D AND REPORTING:

It prepares sectoral exports, foreign trade, economic indicators and country-based R&D reports. In this context, export data and economic indicators of the sector on the basis of all sub-product groups of the sector are shared with members on a monthly basis.

Developments concerning the sector in the international arena are followed and announced to members periodically. Country analysis studies, target country - region reports and sectoral reports are prepared and publications are created to follow the course of global foreign trade.

Playing an important role in communicating the demands of its members and the problems they experience in export transactions to the relevant authorities, İTHİB shares statistical and legislative information within the framework of the demands of the companies. Instantly informs members about international legislation.

REPRESENTATION:

It provides a dialogue mechanism with industries abroad.

As a member of various European and world textile institutions and organizations such as EURATEX and EUROCOTTON, it represents the sector on national and international platforms.

It increases cooperation between its members and foreign textile organizations through various communication channels such as regular meetings, information sharing and introduction meetings.

İTHİB aims to increase its work and opportunities in order to guide and support its members in all target markets with new organizations and initiatives.

COMMUNICATION STUDIES:

It works in intensive communication with national and international stakeholders within the framework of common policies of the country and the sector.

In addition to instantly informing its members about developments on a global scale, it provides information flow on the current situation of the sector by carrying out communication activities on an international scale.
