ISTANBUL TEXTILE AND RAW MATERIALS EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION

Exporters' Associations are organizations that have been serving in various sectors in various provinces of Turkey since 1937 and aim to contribute to economic development by increasing, supporting and coordinating exports.

Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association, on the other hand, has its roots in the "Mohair and Fleece Exporters' Association", which was established in Istanbul in 1939. In 1940, the name of the Union was changed to Turkish Mohair and Fleece Exporters Association. The name Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association was acquired with the Official Gazette published in 1986.

Later, the Council of Ministers Decision No. 93/4614 dated 5/7/1993, which regulated the status and working principles of the Exporters' Associations, and the Exporters' Associations Regulation dated 14/8/1993, issued pursuant to it, were abolished in 2009 and the establishment of the Exporters' Associations and the Turkish Exporters' Assembly was established. Law No. 5910 on the Establishment and Duties of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly and Exporters' Associations, which regulates the procedures and principles regarding its functioning, duties, organs, revenues, expenditures and audits, and the rights and obligations of its members, entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette No. 27277 dated July 3, 2009.

In order to determine the procedures and principles to be applied in matters within the scope of the law, the Regulation on the Establishment and Duties of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly and Exporters' Associations came into force by being published in the Official Gazette No. 27338 dated September 3, 2009.

Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (İTHİB) is a leading institution representing Turkey's textile and raw materials exporters with over 7000 members.
